Scientific Instrument Service Engineer
Our strategy to drive forward enhancements to our technical support capability provides an opportunity for an adaptable and versatile Service Engineer to join our established service team installing, maintaining, servicing and providing technical support for our complete range of instruments.
You probably won't have prior knowledge or previous experience of instrumentation such as ours although that would be an advantage. However, to be successful you will need to be able to demonstrate a solid background in an engineering, electronics or science related discipline, have a relevant qualification (e.g. degree/HND/HNC), possess excellent practical skills and be capable of taking responsibility for the complete installation and commissioning of sophisticated instrumentation and to instruct users in its basic operation.
Product training will be provided both on-the-job and through factory-based training courses. The work is carried out mainly at our customer’s sites, so there are considerable opportunities for travel throughout the UK and also abroad.
The key objective is to provide highly competent, effective and focussed technical support to achieve maximum customer satisfaction and to further the professional image of the Company. If you are a versatile, adaptable, enthusiastic and dynamic engineer with a good electronics background and a flair for troubleshooting looking for a challenge in a commercially oriented job that is demanding but rewarding this job could be for you.
