A Goods Receiver & Despatcher/Admin Assistant is sought to join our Purchasing & Logistics Team to play a strong team part in providing a key service to the UK Bruker companies. The three-person team’s responsibilities include goods receiving, shipping and documentation, stores control and purchase order documentation. Team members’ responsibilities are both complementary and shared, with overlapping duties, to provide continuity of service at all times.

 

Duties will include both manual goods handling and dealing with documentation associated with goods movement, purchasing and stores.

 

Essential requirements are manual dexterity, good articulation and communication skills, keyboard competence, literacy, accuracy, reliability and experience of preparing documentation to a high order of accuracy and presentation. Manual handling of electronic items is involved which requires bending, lifting, carrying and stair climbing. Good general physical fitness and the physical capability to carry out such tasks are necessary.

 

A fork lift truck operator’s licence would be an advantage, although training would be offered if appropriate. Although experience in goods handling/warehousing is desirable, consideration will be given to candidates from other backgrounds who can demonstrate ability and a commitment towards developing the role.
