CTVox for Mobiles: Now Also for Android Tablets and Phones
In addition to previously introduced volume rendering application for Apple mobile devices, Bruker microCT developed similar volume rendering application for mobiles running under Android operating system. It is now available as a free download on the Google Play store.
The application for iPhone, iPod and iPad is also free available on the App Store. Any 3D results obtained using SkyScan scanners can be sent to a mobile device for realistic visualization by real-time volume rendering with the possibility of 3D object manipulation, virtual cut, adjustments of object’s opacity and colors, etc. The exported reconstruction data and color schemes are stored in the local memory of the mobile device and do not require any connection or uploading during volume manipulations.
A large number of reconstructed datasets can be loaded to the memory of a mobile device to share results with colleagues and for demonstration at scientific conferences. A new version of CTVox (ver.2.6) with direct reading of DICOM files and exporting to mobile apps is also available for downloading.
