Paper submission & approval

We encourge you to submit a short paper of your work in order to present your results to the Bruker micro-CT/XRM user community. A paper is an extended abstract of minimum 2 pages, including at least some pictures, tables and results, or what you think is necessary to make your work clear and understandable for a general micro-CT/XRM user.

Papers need to be submitted in the right format using the paper template, which you can download here. Please note when preparing the paper and ultimately your presentation, the micro-CT/XRM User Meeting has an audience with different backgrounds and interests. Keep your presentation general and don't assume that your standard abbreviations will be understood by everyone. The focus should be on what you do and or did with the micro-CT and the images.

Papers will be accepted as a Word-document (using the standard template without footnotes or endnotes) by email to before 20 August 2021. You can indicate your preference for a poster or an oral presentation on the submission form. After reviewing, we will publish the final program on September 10, 2021, which will indicate the papers selected for an oral presentation, and those selected for a poster presentation.

Oral presentation

The timeslot for an oral presentation is 15 minutes: 12 minutes for the talk and 3 minutes for questions. Slides for the oral presentation shall be prepared in powerpoint format (16:9), and submitted before October 1st for testing. The platform for the meeting is managed through ON24, who will introduce you to the platform upfront the meeting in a short training session.

Poster presentation

Posters should be formatted to A0 portrait, and should be pre-recorded. The recording is limited to 5 minutes, and will be available on demand during the user meeting. Instructions on how to record the poster presentation will follow later. A best poster election will be organized, with the chance to win a set of Jabra Elite 85t earbuds!

Best movie & poster contest

This year we also organize a best movie contest during the meeting, with the chance to win a set of Jabra Elite 85t earbuds!

To participate to the contest, submit a movie made using CTVol or CTVox (maximum 30 seconds long) to before 20 August 2021. If the file is too big to send through mail you can use for example (free version up to 2Gb). You are welcome to submit multiple movies, however, they will count as individual entries for the contest.

All attendees have one vote which can be used during the User Meeting. The winner will be announced on October 15, after the User Meeting.
