Food Integrity 2021

Bruker is happy to participate in this year’s Food Integrity 2021 on April 19 – 23

Food Integrity 2021

The globalized food supply chain poses serious challenges to producers, brands, consumers, and governments. An ever-intensifying worldwide competition, a growing number of contaminants and a strong demand for food authenticity, purity and quality control are constantly increasing the number of stringent regulations. You re warmly invited to join Bruker presentations on Monday April 19th starting at 11:45 AM. We will discuss how our analytical knowledge can be applied to safeguard the quality and safety of food & beverages, animal feed and agricultural products throughout the whole supply chain − from product development and production up to quality control and incoming inspections.

This event is completely virtual; you need to register to the event on the Conference website => Food Integrity 2021 - Online Conference

Bruker has some Complimentary VIP passes, please connect with Raphaelle Diss if you wish one free pass. The availability is on a first come first served basis

NMR as a tool for Enhancing Supply Chain integrity and Brand Protection presented by Bruker
Monday, April 19, 2021 11:45 AM to 12:15 PM

Today’s global consumers demand more transparency than ever before. They want to trust the origin and integrity of the food products they buy, and their need for trust extends from the farm to point of sale throughout the supply chain.

As the challenges of safeguarding the global food supply chains have increased and frauds become more sophisticated, new and more advanced fraud detection procedures are needed, including new analytical methods that can fill the existing gaps.

Automated high-resolution 1H-NMR spectroscopy, combined with multivariate statistical chemometrics, provides unique "all-in-one" capabilities for food authenticity control.
The 1H-NMR spectra reflect the fingerprinting of the tested food product and allow targeted quantification of specific marker components, as well as statistics-based fingerprinting for nontargeted detection of admixtures and determination of origin - all within the same experimental run.
The principles behind this NMR methodology as well as recent applications are presented.

Rapid Identification of Microorganisms from colonies using MALDI-TOF Mass Spectrometry presented by Bruker
Monday, April 19, 2021 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM

Looking for a solution for rapid and reliable detection of microorganisms from colonies within minutes? The MALDI Biotyper® is an appropriate platform and identifies microorganisms using MALDI-TOF Mass
Spectrometry to determine the unique proteomic fingerprint of an organism. The fingerprint is used to accurately identify a particular microorganism by matching thousands of reference spectra from strains (incl. more than >3000 species).
