Learn the Best Uses of Light Microscopy in Life Science Research

For the past 20 years, the European Light Microscopy Initiative has worked to connect European light microscopy scientists with leading light microscopy equipment manufacturers. As a result, the annual ELMI exhibition has gained a reputation for supporting innovation and strengthening relationships between researchers, core facilities, and industry — and become a key event for members of the global microscopy community.

Registrants will gain access to a unique program of scientific sessions that will alternately explore the latest leading-edge product and process developments and outline the steps of their most effective implementation in life science research. This year's program will include both expert-led lectures on state-of-the-art, high-end microscopy and “hands-on” workshops and exhibition of the latest technology, hosted by the leading manufacturers of light microscopy equipment

See the event program, below, for more information on Bruker sponsored oral presentations and workshop sessions. We hope to see you at the event!

Program – 23 - 25 June, 2021

Oral Presentation | TBA

Combining Tip-Scanning AFM with Super-Resolution Optical Imaging towards Multiparametric Correlative Microscopy

We will demonstrate how AFM imaging and super-resolution 2color easy3D STED measurements can be combined and show results on the co-localized imaging and sample manipulation with a precision far below the diffraction limit.
Workshop | 23 June 2021 | 12.15 CEST

Large Cleared Sample Imaging with Light-Sheet Microscopy: LUXENDO`s LCS-SPIM

Dr. Jürgen Mayer

In this workshop, the participants will be familiarized with tissue clearing and preparation of large samples, including learning how to mount the sample accordingly, adjust all necessary parameters to achieve the best quality, acquire a tiled acquisition, process (i.e. stitch) and visualize the data.
Workshop | 23 June 2021 | 14.15 CEST

Vutara - Introduction to Super-resolution Applications Using the Vutara VXL Platform for Single-Molecule and Widefield Imaging

Dr. Jeff Stuckey

This talk and practical demonstration will introduce the next generation of the Vutara imaging platform, the VXL, as well as methods for imaging dSTORM and DNA-PAINT samples using single molecule localization microscopy.
Workshop | 24 June 2021 | 12.00 CEST

Multiphoton Microscopy: A Wider Insight into Science with Bruker Ultima 2Pplus

Dr. Clemens Schneider

In this workshop, we will show you how simple and fascinating it is to use the multiphoton microscopy approach with the Ultima 2Pplus to acquire beautiful images and perform either basics or complex experiments with high flexibility.
Workshop | 24 June 2021 | 14.00 CEST

LIVE DEMO feat. BioAFM for Multiparametric AFM – Correlating Structure, Mechanics and Advanced Optical Microscopy

Jörg Barner

Join a live demonstration from the BioAFM labs of Bruker Nano Surfaces in Berlin, Germany, showcasing how the structure and mechanical properties of biological materials can be characterized with our state-of-the-art instruments.
Workshop | 25 June 2021 | 11.45 CEST

3D Cell Culture Imaging with Light-Sheet Microscopy: Ultra Gentle, High-Resolution Imaging of Living Samples with Luxendo`s TruLive3D Imager

Dr. Monika Löschinger, Dr. Felix Weltzien

In this workshop session we will give an overview about possible applications and implications for multiplex experiments, followed by a session right at the microscope with Luxendo’s TruLive3D Imager.
Workshop | 25 June 2021 | 14.00 CEST

Multi-Omics Imaging Applications Using the Vutara VXL Platform

Dr. Lauren Gagnon

This talk presents methods for imaging a series of consecutive targets within a sample using the next generation of the Vutara imaging platform, the VX, for single molecule localization microscopy and widefield imaging integrated with a software-controlled automated microfluidics system for probe multiplexing.
