BLI continues to be a workhorse application for many optical imaging systems, and is frequently an initial motivator for researchers to adopt optical imaging. Key BLI applications, including sensitive tumor and infection progression monitoring, are supported by an ultra sensitive 4MP CCD (standard).
With fully configured VIS-NIR MS-FLI capabilities (standard), researchers can select the reporter(s) best suited for their application objectives. Further, the multispectral (standard) features support enhanced multiplex capabilities and improved SNR offering potential for more informative study designs.
For imaging radiolabeled small compounds (e.g. drugs), that may be otherwise functionally inactivated with fluorescent labeling, and/or for evaluating candidate nuclear tracers, the unique DRI modality (standard) provides imaging of a broad range of SPECT and PET tracers, including useful non-Cherenkov isotopes, with excellent speed and sensitivity.
In addition to providing excellent anatomical reference for functional modalities, the X-ray system (standard) includes energy calibrations, beam hardening, and geometric magnification that support dedicated studies of skeletal, pulmonary, and adipose tissue.
