DIFFRAC.TOPAS Workshop for Basic / Intermediate Users

Register now for our full day workshop, a satellite workshop of Crystal36-AXAA 2026

In this workshop, participants will be introduced to DIFFRAC.TOPAS and the fundamental of whole pattern quantitative analysis. This workshop is ideal for beginner to intermediate level users. Participants will be guided through examples covering various functionalities and analyses in DIFFRAC.TOPAS, including:

  • Creating project files, working with parameters, judging fit quality in TOPAS
  • Fundamental parameters approach (FPA)
  • Working with phases: peaks phase, hkl phase, str phase
  • Quantitative phases analysis
  • Working with full and partial structures
  • Preferred orientation correction
  • Microstructure analysis
  • Dealing with amorphous phases
  • Multi-range/parallel refinements, etc.
