Overview

Cement as a binder in the construction industry has been known for centuries, but today it is more important than ever. Cement is literally the basis of our modern infrastructure, as a binder in masonry and walls, as screed in buildings and as concrete in bridges, tunnels, ports and other civil engineering projects.

X-ray Fluorescence (XRF) spectrometry is a well-established technique in the cement industry, allowing for fast and reliable elemental analysis of various process materials, including:

  • raw mix
  • clinker
  • limestone
  • cement

 

Bruker offers a full portfolio of wavelength dispersive XRF (WDXRF) and energy dispersive XRF (EDXRF) spectrometers to meet the challenging analytical requirements in the cement industry, including compliance with ASTM C114 and ISO 29581-2 / DIN EN 196-2.
