The Powerful 1D PROTON

Speaker: Nicole Kruse/Eric Johnson
Date/Time: August 26, 2024, 15:00 – 16:00 EDT

In this webinar we'll step back from our typically more advanced topics to discuss some fundamentals of 1D proton NMR. Intended primarily as an introduction for the newer NMR spectroscopist, and possibly as a refresher for the more experienced spectroscopist, we'll discuss the wide variety of information that can be extracted from a simple 1D proton spectrum for typical small molecule liquids NMR samples.  We'll start by going over some of the basics, then proceed with the analysis of a couple of specific examples.

Windowed acquisition for the novices: when the “go” command is a no go!

Speaker: Martine Monette/Jochem Struppe
Date/Time: September 30, 2024, 15:00 – 16:00 EDT

Windowed acquisition is an solid state NMR technique which involves the manipulation of spins during their free induction decay. In this webinar, we will present the application of the method for 1H-1H homonuclear decoupling in solid-state as well as solution NMR. The special pulse sequence programming requirements will be discussed. We will then move on to the application of the method for sensitivity enhancement by acquiring multiple echoes over the course of a single free induction decay.

Going with the Flow: Reaction Monitoring at High and Low Fields

Speaker: Kyle Rodriguez/Rob Krull
Date/Time: October 28, 2024, 15:00 – 16:00 EDT

Monitoring reactions via NMR can provide valuable insights into reaction kinetics, mechanisms, and dynamics. This webinar highlights Bruker’s hardware and software portfolio for making reaction monitoring easy and reliable. We will explore the requirements and setup of the hardware, the software packages for acquisition and processing, and how these techniques can be applied to high and low field spectrometers.

Using Python in TopSpin Part I

Speaker: Alec Beaton/Nicole Kruse
Date/Time: November 25, 2024, 15:00 – 16:00 EDT

This webinar covers the use of Python in TopSpin, focusing primarily on the TopSpin Python API.  It is intended as an introduction to the use of Python offerings in current releases of TopSpin. It includes an introduction to the TopSpin Python API, discussing some of its features, advantages, and disadvantages, and provides some simple examples of its usage.

Solid State NMR Applications with Half integer Quadrupole Nuclei Part 2

Speaker: Jochem Struppe/Shane Pawsey
Date/Time: December 16, 2024, 15:00 – 16:00 EDT

Solid State NMR with half integer quadrupole nuclei, heteronuclear correlation spectroscopy. This is a continuation of the June 2024 webinar.
