Michelle A. Markus, Ph.D.
Research Scientist
Bruker BioSpin
Billerica, MA, U.S.A.

Dr. Markus is a Research Scientist at Bruker BioSpin, exploring diverse applications for NMR spectroscopy.  Her current focus is the analysis of complex mixtures, including component quantification and multivariate statistics, using the Assure-RMS software.  Prior to joining Bruker in 2011, she spent 9 years at Wyeth in Discovery Research, probing protein-ligand interactions, ligand solubility and chemical identity, and protein structure.  Dr. Markus pursued postdoctoral studies at the National Institutes of Health with Dr. Dennis Torchia, exploring the structure and dynamics of protein-RNA complexes.  She earned her Ph.D. at Harvard University in the laboratory of Professor Gerhard Wagner, exploring the structure and dynamics of the protein villin 14T.  She holds an undergraduate degree in physics with a minor in biology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
