Data Management and Visualization

SampleTracks typical sphere of influence is within the analytical laboratory. All worksteps can be processed individually from SampleTrack or in conjunction with an external LIMS. Spectra data, document data, and an array of other data types can be quickly and easily managed by SampleTrack through mouse click or Drag & Drop.

Visualization and Post-processing

As standard program, SampleTrack uses the powerful AMIX-VIEWER for spectra visualization. The AMIX-VIEWER can compare new spectra with preexisting spectra data. 

In order to ease the verification of the measurement results and structure elucidation SampleTrack provides the possibility of interaction with other analytical applications such as TopSpin® etc.
Windows® applications (e.g., for reports) and structure editors, e.g., MDL® ISIS/Draw™, can be linked directly with SampleTrack.

The SampleTrack EasyWeb interface provides structure and spectra viewing capabilities, including zooming in and out.
 

SampleTrack Automation and Preparation

Standard Automation Interface for BRUKER NMR Devices

SampleTrack supports all the AVANCE™ series spectrometers which utilize XWIN-NMR™ 3.1 patch level 11 or higher or TopSpin® 1.2 or higher. SampleTrack's automation interface for spectrometers is built on the IconNMR™ platform. Within IconNMR all orders from SampleTrack are executed automatically. Other interfaces for BEST (Bruker Efficient Sample Transfer) systems, including SampleRail™, GILSON® and TECAN®, are also available.

Besides being a complete link to NMR and other kinds of spectrometers, SampleTrack can be used in conjunction with the following automation and preparation products:

  • Sample Changer with barcode reader
  • Sample barcode reader
  • Sample tube ID reader
  • GILSON Automatic Liquid Handler (BEST NMR)
  • GILSON based sample preparation.

Customizable for Laboratory Workflow

SampleTrack is designed to optimize sample tracking, beginning at the submitter's site and continuing through to the final return of results. Information management and hardware control are carried out concurrently as the sample proceeds from the synthesis laboratory through the analytical procedure. SampleTrack has an open-system design which provides for convenient and easy laboratory automation integration. Areas that can be customized include barcode printing, automatic barcode reading and sample identification.

SampleTrack System Requirements

Server and Client Requirements

Server

At least one server is required exclusively for SampleTrack based on the following minimum requirements:

  • Pentium IV, 2 GHz (or faster), 1 GB RAM or better.
  • 60 GB harddisk or larger. As an option an additional harddisk for mirroring. This does not include storage for spectra data.
  • 100/1000 Mbit/s Ethernet™ connection.
  • A Windows® 2000 compatible graphics adapter with minimum 1024x768 pixel resolution.
  • A 17" (or larger) monitor with at least 1024x768 pixel resolution.
  • A Windows 2000 compatible mouse and keyboard.
  • Windows 2000/2003 Server.
  • ORACLE® Standard Edition 8.1.7 or higher (can be delivered by BRUKER).
     

Client

SampleTrack can be installed on existing spectrometer PCs or other compatible systems based on the requirements below:

  • Pentium IV, 1 GB RAM or better.
  • 2 GB free space on harddisk (minimum)
  • 100/1000 Mbit/s Ethernet connection.
  • A Windows 2000 compatible graphics adapter with minimum 1024 x 768 pixel resolution.
  • A 17" (or larger) monitor with at least 1024x768 pixel resolution.
  • A Windows 2000 compatible mouse and keyboard.
  • Windows 2000/XP Professional.
  • ORACLE Client 8.1.7 or higher (can be delivered by BRUKER).
     

Spectrometer Software Requirements

  • XWIN-NMR™ 3.1 patch level 11 or higher or TopSpin® 1.2 or higher
  • IconNMR™ 3.1 or higher

The hardware and software can be delivered by BRUKER upon request.
