NMR Microscopy

NMR Microscopy systems are used in so many different fields of research, in physics, chemistry, biochemistry, biology, medicine, food technology, materials science, chemical engineering and others.

The NMR-specific properties of the objects are visualized as multidimensional images. Translational motion can be observed and spectroscopic information can be spatially resolved.

NMR Microscopy systems provide optimal object handling and performance with a variety of samples types. Two classes of objects are supported: live objects such as animals and plants and inanimate material samples. A broad range of conditions is applicable, anesthesia of animals, control of physiological parameters, variable temperature adjustment, flow connections, rheology and more.


Nuclear Magnetic Resonance is a remarkably powerful technique for the investigation of molecular structure, organization and dynamics. Therefore the NMR Microscopy technique is combined with rheology to provide spatially resolved rheology, giving new insight into the study of the mechanical properties of complex fluids on a commercial NMR spectrometer.

High Power Diffusion

NMR is a powerful and wide spread method to investigate slow molecular motion in matter, such as Brownian motion, translational motion, and flow.

Dedicated high power gradient diffusion probes are the ultimate tools to deliver better resolution in DOSY and in q-space experiments. High gradient strength and fast switching times enable diffusion investigation at short diffusion times, thus allowing the detection of various diffusion times over a wide range. High gradient strength is essential for the investigation of X-Nuclei.

The high power diffusion gradient coils are driven by the same hardware as for the NMR Microscopy systems.
