Join Bruker's Workshop at SMAP 2019

Bruker invites you to its worskhop “New applications with the timsTOF Pro” at the Mass Spectrometry and Proteomic Analysis (SMAP) meeting in Strasbourg on September 18,  12.45 pm to 1.45 pm, room Londres.

This is your chance to learn more about Bruker's solutions and developments in Proteomics, Imaging & Lipidomics.
The program will cover various aspects of the new scan mode diaPASEF on the timsTOF Pro, our new timsTOF fleX and a 4D lipidomic workflow including PASEF.


Parallel accumulation - serial fragmentation combined with data-independent acquisition (diaPASEF) - Pierre-Olivier Schmit

  • The timsTOF Pro with PASEF was introduced as a shotgun proteomics solution at the International HUPO Congress in Dublin in 2017, the unique trapped ion mobility (TIMS) front end of the instrument enables usage of nearly 100% of the ions entering the instrument.
    In this workshop, we introduce the use of a new scan mode called diaPASEF, we will show how virtually all of the peptide ions can be covered with highly efficient usage of the ions.


MALDI Imaging empowered by NEW timsTOF fleX - Sabine Jourdain

  • MALDI MSI has emerged as a powerful technique for fields where knowledge of molecular spatial distribution is essential, such as pharmaceutical and biomedical research.
    We present here the NEW timsTOF fleX, a system consisting of a timsTOF Pro QTOF mounted with a fully integrated high throughput, high spatial resolution MALDI source and stage. The instrument has both an ESI and MALDI source allowing fast acquisition of high spatial and spectral resolution MALDI Imaging data.


Using PASEF to speed up untargeted 4D lipidomics workflow - Yann Hébert

  • With the additional Trapped ion mobility (TIMS) separation dimension, compounds  co eluting from LC columns can be separated. This can result in cleaner MS/MS spectra crucial for any ID in lipidomics or other small molecule workflows. Moreover, TIMS enables the determination of collisional cross sections (CCS) of ions with high confidence and reproducibility, allowing to use this value as a 4th dimension for identification if compared to values from literature or to predicted values.
    We introduce a 4D lipidomic workflow including PASEF acquisition method and the acclaimed software platform MetaboScape with a new and fully integrated solution for confident automated lipid annotation.
