Bruker’s CTX is a standalone, portable, safety-interlocked XRF analyzer designed to fill a broad range of elemental analysis needs. Please contact Bruker to learn how the CTX can meet and exceed your analysis requirements. CTX is an ideal solution for the analysis of relevant solids, powders and liquids, serving following industries among various others:
CTX relies on energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence (ED-XRF) technology, which helps determine the elemental composition of a wide range of materials, detecting and quantifying elements ranging from magnesium (Mg) to those as heavy as uranium (U). To use a simple example, when CTX is used on a sterling silver coin, it measures the respective energy magnitudes of the alloy components (Ag at 22.163 keV; Cu at 8.046 keV) and determines the coin’s composition to be 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper. But the capabilities of the CTX extend beyond industrial applications into multidisciplinary scientific research ranging across biology, agronomy, physics, chemistry, environmental studies, material science, and geoscience. It is safe to use in the classroom by students of all ages.
The CTX quickly delivers accurate and reproducible results. Equipped with double safety interlocks, the CTX delivers high performance EDXRF in a lightweight (15.6 lbs / 7.1 kg with battery) portable (5.3 x 9.8 x 13.8 in / 13.5 x 25 x 35 cm) configuration. A self-contained CTX analyser is many cases more convenient to use than a handheld XRF set on a benchtop stand, especially when sample preparation is required; when samples come packaged in containers; and when the required measurement time is longer than mere seconds. It is also an ideal choice for institutions and locations with rigorous open beam portable XRF requirements.
