ECCMID 2024

Bruker´s Contribution to this Year´s Event

Bruker at the 34th ECCMID

Bruker Microbiology & Infection Diagnostics (MID) is thrilled to extend a warm invitation to all clinical microbiology experts to join us at booth D-11 in Barcelona, Spain, on April 27-30.

Don't miss out on the chance to witness our latest product innovations first-hand, and see why we're at the forefront of the industry. Our team is eagerly waiting to show you the cutting-edge technologies and solutions that will continue changing microbiology. See you at ECCMID 2024 - it's an event you won't want to miss!

Our Focus at ECCMID 2024

Join us at our booth where we’ll showcase the must-have MALDI Biotyper® sirius IVD System, offering lightning-fast analysis for routine identification of bacteria, yeast and filamentous fungi, all with the same easy workflow. Witness unbeaten speed going hand in hand with accuracy based on a superior reference library, covering even the unexpected. Get urgent samples prioritized and analyzed in minutes. Enhance efficiency, increase traceability, and elevate results with dedicated accessories for MALDI Biotyper® sample preparation, from guided sample transfer to accelerated drying. Reduce labour for microbial identification while redefining productivity and traceability: let the MBT Pathfinder® IVD and Feeder IVD take the repetition out of MALDI sample preparation.

You'll also witness the power of our complementary and interrelated IR Biotyper®, providing quick and easy microbial strain typing for hospital hygiene, enabling preventive epidemiology. The built‐in classifiers facilitate quick decision‐making.

That's not all - discover our Molecular Diagnostics portfolio; and get hands-on with the GenoXtract® fleXT to learn how your laboratory can benefit from a fully validated and traceable workflow combined with standardized "results at a glance" reporting from the FluoroCycler® XT.  Hear about our diagnostic applications in critical infectious disease areas like tuberculosis, HIV and HBV, and invasive fungal disease and tell us about your emerging diagnostic needs. Learn how our syndromic panels and next-generation multiplexing assays, powered by LiquidArray®,  can streamline your gastrointestinal testing; replace multiple STI tests with one; and provide sequencing-like results for drug-resistant tuberculosis.

And finally, discover our UMIC® product line for single drug MIC testing based on broth microdilution, focused on last-resort antibiotics, including UMIC® Cefiderocol. The UMIC® product line provides maximum flexibility and is adaptable to individual test amounts.

Don't miss out on this opportunity to see the future of diagnostics - see you at our booth!

Integrated Symposium
Changing Microbiology Modern Methods from Spectroscopy and Molecular Biology
Saturday, April 27, 16:00-17:30 CEST

The symposium will delve into the future of diagnostics and cutting-edge technologies that facilitate improved identification of pathogens and microbial typing. It will encompass recent advancements in microbiological identification, the integration of technologies for enhanced hygiene control in hospitals, and expedited disease diagnosis through molecular diagnostics.

The discussion will extend to the advantages of cloud-based work and machine learning in microbiological identification, coupled with in-depth analysis using MALDI-TOF. Practical insights into the interaction between MALDI-TOF and IR spectroscopy, aimed at enhancing hospital hygiene, will be shared.

Moreover, a new generation of highly multiplexed diagnostics will be showcased, using gastroenterological infections as an illustrative example.

Join us as we explore these innovations that promise to shape the future of diagnostics.

Chairs:
Dr. Markus Kostrzewa, Executive Vice President Innovation, Bruker Microbiology & Infection Diagnostics, Bremen, Germany
Dr. Elena De Carolis, Fondazione Policlinico Gemelli, Scienze di Laboratorio e Infettivologiche, Rome, Italy
