Our three-day training course educates NIR users on the details of data collection, best NIR practices, and method development for quantitative analysis. The course is intended for users of Bruker Optics FT-NIR spectrometers and will focus on the use of the Quant and OPUSLAB packages within the Bruker Optics Opus software package. The course will consist of lectures, hands-on laboratory teaching sessions, and troubleshooting sessions intended to address problems that users are experiencing within their own applications. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own spectral data files, as well as their Quant method files for personal consultation with our applications personnel.
The course will consist of lectures, laboratories sessions, and demonstrations which emphasize basic principles of FT-NIR instrumentation, data processing, sampling techniques, the OPUS/IR PC software, and introductory instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
A working knowledge of the Microsoft Windows operating system and a familiarity with your Bruker FT-NIR instrument. The basics aspects of the operating system (e.g. copying files, formatting disks, installing printers) can be practiced in the Tutorial provided with the operating system.
