Miniscope and Multi-Site Miniscope Webinars

Illuminating the Neural Code: Revealing Neural Correlates of Behavior without Behavioral Measurements

Learn how miniscopes can unravel patterns in neuronal activity

Uncover the patterns of neuronal activity

During this webinar, Dr. Alon Rubin discusses how he investigates ensemble activity patterns in freely behaving mice. Learn how the nVista system can be used to apply unsupervised learning to activity recorded from large-scale neuronal populations.

Presenter’s Abstract

During this webinar, I review how highly organized internal structures of ensemble activity patterns can be uncovered without a priori assumptions. This is done by applying unsupervised learning to activity recorded from large-scale neuronal populations in behaving mice using the nVistaTM system. The emergent structures that are uncovered with Inscopix miniscopes can enable reconstruction of internal representations and discovery of new behavioral variables hidden within a neural code that may not have been obvious with conventional methods.
