Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices with respect to Bruker mass spectrometry software error reports and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. Please also see the general Bruker Privacy Notice for further information.
Bruker mass spectrometry software products are developed maintaining high industry standards with respect to software, quality, and robustness. Nevertheless, under certain conditions a software may encounter unexpected error conditions that result in a "crash" – a sudden termination of the software.
Some Bruker software applications use modern error reporting technology that helps us to collect and analyze technical information about the error and to further improve the software so that future errors are avoided. If the software crashes it will show the "Error Report" dialog that allows you to send this information to the Bruker software R&D team, alongside with optional information that you may add manually, including your email address and a description of how the error occurred.
The technical information collected in the error report includes:
Note that the above information may contain application events, opened file paths, license serial numbers, software version information, as well as information on the operating system, the runtime environment, and the system’s hardware configuration.
The "Error Report" dialog allows you to review the files included in the report before sending it. Please refer to the software product’s help resources for further details.
We do not collect:
We use the information you provide with the error report only to improve the software. We do not share this information with outside parties. We use the provided email address exclusively to contact you to obtain more information about the error circumstances. The address is not used for any other purpose and is not shared with outside parties.
Providing the email address is completely optional. If you decide to not provide your email address, we will not be able to contact you in case questions arise during the technical error analysis. Since this may limit our ability to improve the software product, we would highly appreciate it if you decided to provide your email address with the error report.
We never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above.
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online
Should you have questions or concerns about these privacy policies, please contact the respective software product support team at Bruker.
