X-ray Diffraction (XRD)

DIFFRAC.XRD ASSISTANT

A modern web application for intuitive XRD operation, real-time insight, and streamlined result access.

Simplifying X-ray Diffraction for Every User

XRD ASSISTANT is a modern, browser-based application that makes X-ray diffraction (XRD) measurements and evaluations easier to access, execute, and understand. Designed for routine laboratory operation, it provides a clear, workflow-driven interface that guides users seamlessly from measurement start to evaluated results—without the need to navigate complex expert software.

Accessible as a standalone web app on desktop or tablet, or integrated directly into DIFFRAC.MEASUREMENT, XRD ASSISTANT enables reliable XRD operation for operators, supervisors, and experts alike.

Key Highlights

  • One continuous workflow: Measurement → Live View → Evaluation → Results
  • Real-time scan monitoring with immediate visual feedback
  • Automatic execution of predefined evaluations
  • Clear, standardized result visualization
  • Responsive design optimized for touch and tablet use
  • Secure, read-only access to evaluated results from the instrument database

Features Overview

ASSISTANT Home Screen – Your First Point of Contact

The ASSISTANT Home Screen is the central entry point between user and software. It provides an immediate overview of instrument status, running and pending jobs, and recently completed measurements. From here, users can jump directly into the required action—starting a measurement, monitoring job progress, or accessing evaluation results—without navigating complex menus.

Designed for All User Roles

  • Operators execute predefined templates safely and efficiently
  • Experienced users and lab managers define methods and result views in the main DIFFRAC software
  • Supervisors and quality managers review results, trends, and instrument status remotely

Guided Measurement, Live Monitoring, and Automatic Evaluation

Measurements are launched using predefined templates imported from the instrument database. Users assign specimens graphically, start jobs with just a few clicks, and follow progress in real time. During acquisition, the Live View displays how the diffraction pattern evolves over time, providing immediate feedback and transparency. Once the scan is completed, any predefined evaluation is executed automatically—typically via DIFFRAC.BBE—and the scan view transitions seamlessly into evaluated results, including phase identification or profile fits from EVA or TOPAS. This ensures consistent, repeatable execution of routine workflows from measurement start to actionable results.

Analysis Library and Result Visualization

The Analysis Library provides structured access to measurement data and evaluation results directly from the instrument database. Results are shown in standardized views combining interactive scan plots with configurable tables and charts.
