Flexible Molecular Biology Software Solution Combines Cloud with Desktop Functionality to Streamline Workflows and Improve Efficiency

Researchers can now centralize and track chemistry, biology, and molecular biology data and experimental processes within one platform, eliminating data silos and improving data management and retrieval.

BILLERICA, Massachusetts – September 2, 2021: Arxspan, a division of Bruker, announces the launch of BioDrive, a cloud and desktop-based, integrated software solution that allows scientists to advance their molecular biology research. By enabling a seamless workflow across cross-functional teams, BioDrive enables efficient collaboration for researchers, whether users are across the hall or across the globe.

Researchers can now centralize and track chemistry, biology, and molecular biology data and experimental processes within one platform, eliminating data silos and improving data management and retrieval. With its unique dual cloud-based and desktop capabilities, users can perform tasks within BioDrive, which can be integrated into the Arxspan electronic laboratory notebook (ELN).

A user can import molecular biological data from external databases to then annotate, edit, insert nucleic acid sequence data, find restriction enzyme digestion sites and optimize primer design, autosaving at each stage of the process. Using the enterprise version of BioDrive, sequence-based data is fully encrypted in the secure platform, which is accessible from any browser without the need for time-consuming installation.

Suitable for designing and executing new research projects in the multi-omics fields, the BioDrive enhanced user interface features advanced search capabilities as well as timestamps and author signatures through the ELN to track edits from multiple contributors, generating auditable reporting.

This increased functionality of the Arxspan platform’s suite of software solutions facilitates scientists’ ability to make better informed decisions through enabling one platform to manage all their scientific data securely with internal and external collaborators; chemistry, biology, and NOW molecular biology. Bruker Arxspan's BioDrive also supports new innovative assays to help streamline the drug discovery and development process.

BioDrive is fully compliant with part 11 of Title 21 of the Code of Federal Regulations (21 CFR Part 11) issued by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
