Persistent environmental contaminants such as per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and microplastics present significant analytical challenges because their distribution, structural diversity, and biological effects are difficult to characterize within complex tissues.
This webinar explores how advanced matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry imaging (MALDI-MSI), combined with trapped ion mobility spectrometry (TIMS) and complementary spatial approaches, can reveal contaminant localization, differentiate PFAS isomers, and investigate associated molecular changes across biological systems.
