Training Courses at Bruker Facilities

Bruker offers advanced applications training courses for atomic force microscopes at our facilities. Learn from our applications experts. The classes include both theory sessions and lab sessions. These courses are an excellent way to raise your level of proficiency and get that extra productivity out of your instrument. Students are invited to bring their own samples to practice on our state-of-the-art equipment.

Training Courses in the United States

In 2019, we will have 7 training classes in the United States: 3 factory training classes at our AFM factory in Santa Barbara CA, 2 training classes at the Bruker demo lab in San Jose, CA, and 2 training classes at the Bruker demo lab in Billerica MA. Each class includes both lectures and hands-on lab sessions. In the lab sessions attendees can practice each technique on Bruker AFMs in our state-of-the-art applications lab. Attendees are welcome to bring their own samples to practice with.

In this class, we will talk about image quality and PeakForce Quantitative Nanomechanical Mapping (PF-QNM).
AFM Image Quality May 1-2, 2019 Billerica, MA
In this training class, we will walk you through in depth AFM theories, popular topography imaging modes with presentations, followed by step-by-step demonstration and guided hands on practice on actual AFMs.
Image Quality and PeakForce QNM June 11-12, 2019 San Jose, CA
In this class, we will talk about image quality and PeakForce Quantitative Nanomechanical Mapping (PF-QNM).
AFM Electrical Measurements June 13-14, 2019 San Jose, CA
This class is focused on material’s electrical property measurements using AFM. It includes both theory sessions and lab sessions.
AFM Biological Applications August 27-29, 2019 Santa Barbara, CA
This class will focus on biological applications using AFM. It includes both theory sessions and lab sessions.
AFM Electrical Measurements October 8-10, 2019 Santa Barbara, CA
This class is focused on material’s electrical property measurements using AFM. It includes both theory sessions and lab sessions.
Image Quality and PeakForce QNM October 22-24, 2019 Billerica, MA
In each session of this training class, we will start off with presentation of in depth AFM theories, followed by step-by-step demonstration and guided hands on practice on actual AFMs.

During this modular 3-day course you can improve your skillset on the Bruker Multimode 8 system. If you are new to the system or need a refresher, you can choose to stay the full three days or participate only in one or two days, depending on your personal requirements.
Special AFM Mode: Nanomanipulation, Nanolithography May 15-16, 2019 Karlsruhe, Germany
Bruker Customer Support likes to introduce you to or to refresh your knowledge on using the AFM for Nanolithography and Nanomanipulation. During the 2-day course we will present you ways to prepare your measurements on Dimension Icon and how to set up experiments.
AFM Force Measurements June 5-7, 2019 Karlsruhe, Germany
Force measurements with an AFM play an important role in today’s surface characterization to determine properties like the elastic modulus or the adhesion. In this 3-day modular course we like to offer the users of Bruker AFMs an option to improve their skill set or to refresh their knowledge on this topic.
