Training

Basic Solid-State NMR

Overview

Info:

Introduction to Solid-State NMR experiments on Bruker NMR spectrometers.

Topics:

During the course, the users will learn how to setup the hardware for solid state NMR experiments (magic angle adjustment, shimming, field calibration, pulse calibration). The user will also learn some theoretical concepts inherent to NMR in the solid state and what their practical implications for magic angle spinning, decoupling, and cross polarization are. During the course the typical experiments for 13C-detection will be covered (ex. cross-polarization, direct polarization, editing experiments, spinning side-bands suppression, 2D-HETCOR). The course will cover also the setup and acquisition of solid-state NMR experiments in full automation using IconNMR and state-of-the-art equipment.

Prerequisite Qualification:

Open to all Bruker NMR spectrometer users.
