It's done, we were able to refill helium with your remote assistant by Mr Neff Raphaël, we saved our magnet, the current helium level is 84%. We thank you very much for your responsiveness and your perfect collaboration. Have a good day.

The COVID-19 pandemic is the latest in a series of trials presented to us, with student protests often presenting difficulties in carrying out essential maintenance on our two NMR spectrometers. These incidents meant that our Bruker engineer, Mr. Marc Laridon, often had to travel onto campus under less than ideal circumstances, including during the recent government-imposed COVID-19 lockdown measures. Bruker SA has consistently stepped up to the often-unique challenges presented to us, frequently walking me through various procedures step-by-step through a remote connection. Remote monitoring our magnets has also allowed me to plan the essential maintenance of our magnets effectively and safely, providing a great deal of reassurance. On many occasions the outstanding work of Mr. Marc Laridon and Mr. Pari Antalis of Bruker SA have gone above and beyond in assisting us in keeping our instruments running with minimal downtime, saving us a lot of money. We are incredibly grateful to Bruker for the continued after sales service and adaptation to our circumstances.

"The delivery of our new SkyScan 2214 system was scheduled to arrive during the height of COVID-19.  Because of this, the Bruker specialist in Belgium was not able to be onsite but we desperately needed this instrument for our research.  The Bruker team stepped up to the challenge by walking us through the entire installation step-by-step via virtual methods like instant messaging and video conferencing.  We even were able to use augmented reality to help us make sure the system was installed properly.  Thanks to the entire Bruker team for your flexibility and commitment!”

During the height of the COVID-19 emergency with the whole lab working from home, the remote monitoring system installed on our NMR magnet ensured that Bruker specialists were able to continually verify the correct levels of cryogens, allowing us to plan maintenance safely and efficiently.

Two incidents recently occurred on our 400 Mhz Aeon magnet. In both  unforeseen circumstances, helium rapidly started to evaporate. Because the University was closed due to Covid-19 government measures, we were unaware of these incidences that could be fatal to our instrument.
Luckily, our magnet is connected to Bruker for remote monitoring of cryogenics so we were contacted promptly by our Bruker engineer, making us aware of the catastrophic consequences concerning helium boiling. We were able to act quickly in both occasions and secure the magnet.
Remote monitoring and Bruker involvement has been fundamental in saving our magnet and, of course, a lot of money.

During the current COVID-19 restrictions, our flagship Bruker 700MHz Wide-Bore magnet developed a serious issue that could have resulted in permanent damage. The fast response of the service support at Bruker UK, particularly the Helpdesk team arranging emergency Helium deliveries and the exceptional work of the engineers Haydn Smith and Pete Simpson with refilling and re-energising activities, saved us from a very costly outcome.

Needless to say we have now implemented Remote Monitoring for our magnets which will give us the added reassurance that is essential to the success of our ongoing research projects in the nature of solid state materials and their applications in supercapacitors, fuel cells and batteries.

These are new times, especially in terms of our professional lives. I would like to thank Bruker's after-sales service, and especially Patrice Hurteau, for the continuity of service and adaptation to the customer's agenda. Two NMR magnets were filled this morning, which means a little less pressure for the customer. To testify to this, this attached photo was taken this morning in full compliance with the safety rules imposed on Sanofi sites in France.
