During my academic studies, I was already exposed to various Bruker technologies. At the time, I worked at several research institutes building coils for Bruker magnets, which were used, for example, in zebrafish studies. After earning my degree in Medical Engineering, I spent three years working in cancer research at a university hospital. However, driven by personal preferences, I decided to return back to northern Germany.

Bruker presented an excellent opportunity to combine my technical expertise with my academic background. In 2015, I joined the EsiToF production team as a Test Engineer. Following the birth of my son in 2020, I founded the Test & Validation department with a colleague, focusing on pre-testing and packaging service parts. In 2023, after the birth of my daughter, I expanded my responsibilities to include the Return & Repairs area alongside Service Parts.

This integration led to the formation of the Production Spare Parts & Services department. By merging Test & Validation with Return & Repairs, we are now able to manage the entire lifecycle of a service part and reintegrate it into the operational cycle. What began in 2020 as a two-person initiative has since grown into a team of 20 employees and has become an integral part of the Bruker organization.

• What is your motivation in life? Watching my kids grow up is like having front-row seats to the funniest, most heartwarming show on Earth. Their joy is contagious, their curiosity endless and their questions sometimes better than any comedy script. I try to take life with a big dose of humor, walk into every room with a smile, and leave it with a few honest laughs. My motto: live each day like it’s your last preferably with a grin and maybe chocolate in my hand.
