XRD will Change

Atoms connect to form solids which compose the world around us. X-ray Diffraction (XRD) was key in establishing this fact over a century ago, but the technology has been locked behind a barrier of niche application, specialized knowledge and significant infrastructure. Over the past decade, ADVANCEs in accessibility have occurred in hardware design and software architecture to enable more DISCOVERies using this sub-nanometer sensitive measurement technique. Evolutionary changes to the D8 platform such as the DaVinci instrument concept, LYNXEYE detectors and dynamic beam optimizing optics and revolutionary breakthroughs like the D2 PHASER have enabled the next generation of science.  

The next step in the journey is not an evolution. It is not a revolution. It is a true disruption. This is not vaporware, almost there or coming soon. On June 27, 2023, XRD will Change.
