Advancing Battery Production with Bruker’s Analytical Solutions

As battery demand accelerates, manufacturers need tighter control over material quality, production steps, and final cell performance. From Raw Materials to CAM Production
XRF verifies metal and precursor purity, while XRM 3D imaging reveals particle size, shape, and defects essential for anode quality. During CAM production, XRD tracks crystallographic structure and calcination progress, complemented by SEM EDS and EBSD for contamination screening, particle shapes, and crystallographic structure at nanoscale.

Component & Cell Quality Control
XRD, XRM, micro XRF, and EDS help ensure cathodes, anodes, and membranes meet strict performance requirements. For finished cells, operando XRD and  XRM deliver real time insights into structural changes during cycling and support defect detection and safety testing. Micro-XRF allows the study of inhomogeneities/defects along the process.
