Streamlining Quality Control in Small Molecule Research

The QSee™ Performance Test provides a standardized QC workflow with a guided user interface, automated data evaluation, and clear pass/fail reporting to proactively assess LC TIMS MS system performance. Results can optionally be uploaded to TwinScape™, enabling longitudinal trend analysis and long term system surveillance across instruments and time.

Key Features of the QSee™ Performance Test Solution:

  • Standardized end-to-end turnkey solution combining software, SOPs and methods, reference standard mixture and dedicated RP LC columns.
  • Operator-Independent Workflows: Reduce user variability through automated, standardized QC routines.
  • Standardized Data Acquisition: Ensure consistent QC workflows, enabling reproducible benchmarking independent of system configuration.
  • Automatic evaluation of key LC-TIMS-MS performance parameters (mass accuracy, retention times, LC peak areas, CCS errors, isotopic pattern qualities & more to come).
  • Automated QC & Reporting: Instantly generate clear, actionable QC reports with pass/fail metrics, eliminating the need for manual interpretation.
  • Cross-Instrument Comparability: Compare performance across instruments, labs, and timepoints using harmonized QC metrics.
  • Trend Monitoring & Longitudinal Analysis: Detect performance drifts early through continuous monitoring of system metrics over time.
  • Seamless Integration: Fully compatible with Bruker timsTOF systems and software ecosystem.
The graphical user interface of the QSee™ Performance Test offers three perspectives to guide the user through the workflow.

Why QSee™ Performance Testing Matters for Your Data Quality

  • Trust your data: Make confident decisions based on verified and reproducible system performance.
  • Detect issues early: Identify drifts, contamination, and sensitivity loss before they impact results.
  • Standardize QC across labs: Ensure comparable performance independent of user, lab, or system configuration.
  • Reduce downtime: Minimize troubleshooting effort with fast identification of root causes.
  • Increase efficiency: Save time through automated workflows and eliminate manual QC steps.
  • Enable reproducible research: Maintain consistent data quality across projects and long-term studies.

"By integrating QSee Performance Testing into our lab routine, we've conveniently benchmarking our LC-TIMS-MS system performance before each experiment. The slim and intuitive workflow makes this a straightforward check, and the results provide assurance and peace of mind that we've consistently producing high quality data.

Confidence in our analytical results has never been higher, thanks to this comprehensive solution. It's truly a QC game-changer for our lab."

What's New in QSee™ Performance Test 2027 (upcoming release at ASMS 2026)

  • Use the new "TargetScreener" application type
  • Now supporting Elute+ SL
  • Use of user-defined QC tests with own standard mixes and/or methods
  • Define own batch sequences (e.g. checking only one ion polarity)

FAQ

How can I get the QSee™ Performance Test solution?

The QSee™ Performance Test License is coming with either the TASQ or the TASQ-MetaboScape licenses.

Do I need the TwinScape™ software?

No. TwinScape™ is optional; it enables longitudinal monitoring and trend analysis of QSee™ results.

Which metrics are evaluated with the QSee™ Performance Test tool?

Mass accuracy (m/z error), retention time deviation, peak area, CCS error and isotopic‑pattern quality (mSigma).

Which LC- and MS- systems are supported?

HPLC: Bruker Elute UHPLC or Agilent 1290 Infinity II;

Can I use my own QC mix or methods?

The QSee™ Performance Test solution is designed around the QSee™ 8‑Mix, dedicated columns, and predefined method sets to ensure standardization and cross-system comparability. But with the ASMS 2026 release (QPT 2027), it will be possible to set up and use user-defined mixes, methods and setups, easily.

Is QSee™ for clinical diagnostics?

The QSee™ solution is NOT for use in clinical diagnostic procedures, it is for research use only.

How many times can I run the QSee™ test with one vial of the 8-Mix?

For a timsMetabo™ device, the QSee™ 8-Mix can be aliquoted into up to 40 aliquots. Thus, if run on a weekly to bi-weekly basis, the sample may last for about a year of use time. Note: the amount is varying depending on the instrument used.
