Micro-CT User Training

Overview

Description:

Bruker-microCT has developed a training platform for new and experienced users. It offers a combination of both system (*) and software training and will cover three major topics: image acquisition, image reconstruction and data analysis.

These 5-day courses are organized at the Bruker microCT headquarters in Belgium, and the United States. The goal is to combine the basic theoretical background of micro CT with as much hands-on experience as possible.

Participants will be asked to test different scan settings, learn the impact of changes in e.g. voltage, filter, rotation, and reconstruct projection images and deal with artefacts such as beam hardening and ring artefacts. Using a variety of datasets, coming from both biological as well as material science, numerous parameters such as analyzing density, measuring porosity and calculating morphometric parameters will be discussed and practiced.

A dedicated session will deal on how to automate these analyses and applying them to your specific sample.

This course is ideal for people who want to get the most out of their system and software! In depth hands-on training in small groups ensures a high level of interaction between the trainers and the participants, maximizing your learning curve!

(*) The training courses are limited to the SKYSCAN 1272, SKYSCAN 1273, SKYSCAN 1275, SKYSCAN 1276 and SKYSCAN 1278 models. For training requests on other SKYSCAN models, please send an email to Usermeeting.BmCT@bruker.com.
