Diving Off the Deep End: Imaging Insights Into Amygdala Circuitry

Find out what miniscopes can reveal about the circuitry within the amygdala and other deep brain regions

Unravel neuronal mechanisms controlling goal-directed behavior

In this webinar, Dr. Julien Courtin discusses how he uses Inscopix miniscopes and GRIN lenses to dissect the circuitry within the amygdala that encodes the motivational aspects of behavior. Hear about several best practices for overcoming the challenges of imaging deep brain regions.

Presenter’s Abstract

In this webinar, I will offer best practices on how to image deep brain regions, in particular the amygdala, and overcome some of the most technical challenges. Additionally, I will cover critical analysis methods of neural activity within the amygdala, enabling a deeper appreciation of how miniscope imaging has advanced our functional understanding of amygdala circuits.
