From Neural Recording to Functional Insight: Accelerating Discovery with the Inscopix Integrated Workflow

This webinar demonstrates how Inscopix enables more structured, scalable miniscope experiments, using a streamlined calcium imaging workflow in freely moving animals as an example of how its technologies, software, and scientific support work together — and how dedicated consulting can help accelerate the path to discovery.

It walks through the core steps of the workflow, including lens and indicator selection, behavioral experiment design, and data analysis, showing how these decisions fit into a structured approach that reduces variability and avoids common setup issues.

Rather than focusing on individual tools, the session shows how the workflow comes together as a whole to support a more consistent path to usable data and preliminary figures. This enables faster iteration and more confident decision-making, with expert input helping guide key choices such as targeting, labeling, and data quality assessment along the way.

Originally developed for the initial mini1P series (nVista, nVoke, nVue), this approach now extends across newer platforms, including the nVista 2P miniscope and the Quartet 2.0 multisite imaging system under the Bruker portfolio.

Morgana Favero, MD, PhD
Director, Customer Experience and Applications at Bruker FM-I

Morgana Favero completed her graduate training in Italy and a postdoctoral fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia before joining Inscopix, now part of Bruker, in 2017. She currently leads the global Field Application and Support teams within the Inscopix division. Her scientific background spans motor and sensory behavior, epilepsy, and migraine, with over 20 peer‑reviewed publications from her academic career. At Inscopix, she has built and trained a global team of PhD‑level consultants who work closely with researchers to develop new applications and advance neuroscience research.
