GENERIC HIV-1 VIRAL LOAD VER 2.0

HIV remains a major problem of public health, with nearly 40 million infected people worldwide.

WHO recommends facilitating access to diagnosis and treatment, in order to start antiretroviral therapy as early as possible for all infected people and thus limit the occurrence of life-threatening complications.

By stopping viral replication, treatments can improve the length and the quality of life of infected people.

Measuring the viral load by quantification of HIV-1 RNA allows the monitoring of the treatment effectiveness and the early switching of the therapy in case of treatment failure.

GENERIC GENERIC HIV-1 VIRAL LOAD VER 2.0 is an accurate test for the quantification of HIV-1 RNA from only 500 μL of human EDTA or citrate plasma samples by targeting the highly conserved LTR region and pol gene.

Automated extraction with the GenoXtract^® and dedicated cartridges provides highly purified nucleic acids for optimal PCR performance. Reverse transcription, amplification and subsequent detection are performed with the FluoroCycler^® XT. Integrated software provides fully automated quantitative analysis, generating results at a glance. The viral load is displayed in IU/ml with all essential information compiled in a standardized and user-friendly test report requiring minimal interpretation.
