Applications For Handheld XRF Analyzers
When it comes to Positive Material Identification (PMI), Bruker provides a fast, easy and completely non-destructive analysis method for every metal component: XRF PMI guns. Whatever industry you are in, alloy component reliability, traceability, and safety are of the utmost importance.
Art and Archaeometry
Bruker has become the defacto choice for art and archaeometry applications, thanks to its capacity for completely non-destructive elemental identification. This lends itself to a wide variety of uses, such as investigating non-uniform samples, determining the provenance of a valued object, or obtaining elemental data for geochemical survey.
The requirement to comply with a host of material restriction regulation like the 2006 European Union’s Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) directive and the CPSIA 2008 has driven manufacturers to find new and more efficient ways of testing components, finished goods and sub-assemblies for banned substances.
Handheld XRF guns have become the instrument of choice for soils analysis when characterizing, remediating and monitoring contaminated soil sites. With just 30-60 seconds per sample, fast, accurate data can be obtained in hours rather than weeks, ensuring that your project meets its deadline and does not go over budget.
Food Safety and Agriculture
Safe and nutritious food is of primary concern to everyone, from the farm to the table. The recent prevalence of contaminants and adulterated, counterfeit or fraudulent food has led to an increase in public awareness and government regulations.
Fuel and Oil
Portable XRF solutions for elemental analysis of fuels, oils and other petrochemicals. Possible applications include sulfur in bunker fuel as per MARPOL, monitor oil blending and screen of wear metals and additives in lubrication oil.
Handheld XRF allows you to directly make on-site geochemical analysis of mine face, drill core or prepared samples. On-site real time analysis with the S1 TITAN or TRACER 5i will boost productivity by reducing turnaround times for results from days to seconds comparing to laboratory analysis.
Portable XRF spectrometers for research and teaching: Because of its unique flexibility, the TRACER 5 XRF analyzer has become the defacto standard for art and archaeometry investigations. It is also a perfect choice for research and teaching applications.
Scrap Metal Sorting
Sorting scrap metal used to be the job of experienced metal sorters, but that has all changed since the introduction of handheld XRF technology. Bruker provides a fast, reliable way of detecting the valuable content of scrap as well as detecting unwanted or "tramp" elements - without the need for highly-trained operators.
S1 TITAN Handheld XRF Analyzer
Handheld XRF ideal for taking the lab to the sample for fast analysis of any material: small, light-weight (<1.5 kg with battery), preloaded with point-and-shoot calibrations of choice.
TRACER 5 Portable XRF Spectrometer
High value handheld XRF performer for the most demanding analyses: synchronizes power, function, precision, and accuracy for a dynamic, field capable, lab-like experience.
CTX BenchTop XRF spectrometer.
Portable BenchTop XRF ideal for quick analysis of small or prepared samples: only 14 cm wide, light-weight (<7 kg), safety-interlocked, interactive touchscreen, and battery operated.
