Speaker: Martine Monnete
Date/Time: June 14, 2021, 15:00 – 16:00 EDT
This is our 50th webinar. Stay tuned for special announcements.
In this webinar, we will show how to implement 15N inverse correlation experiments specifically on unlabeled samples. We will first demonstrate the application to small molecule for structure elucidation. Spectrometer configurations and key parameters will be addressed. Examples with larger molecules like peptide and small proteins will be also be discussed.
Speaker: Eric Johnson/Amy Freund
Date/Time: July 12, 2021, 15:00 – 16:00 EDT
Monitoring the performance of your NMR spectrometer is important for making sure that everything is working as well as it should. This webinar will focus on various ways to measure the performance of your NMR spectrometer, both qualitatively and quantitatively, and both manually and through full automation. By staying on top of the performance of your NMR, you can be confident knowing that you will always get data you can trust.
Speaker: Jochem Struppe/Shane Pawsey
Date/Time: August 09, 2021, 15:00 – 16:00 EDT
The course will follow up on the Tips and Tricks session from 8/17/2020 and the session Tips and Tricks 2 from 2/22/2021 and discuss advanced CPMAS experiments for pharmaceutical and biological applications, including HFX CP and double CP experiments, their setup and best decoupling strategies for 1H and 19F .
Speaker: Donna Baldisseri /Clemens Anklin
Date/Time: September 13, 2021, 15:00 – 16:00 EDT
The measurement of dynamic processes in proteins is one of the strongpoints of biomolecular NMR. In this webinar we would like to introduce you to the experiments, the processing and analysis of such data. We will also go into detail on experimental aspects that have to be considered for this type of experiments.
Speaker: Clemens Anklin/Nicole Kruse
Date/Time: October 18, 2021, 15:00 – 16:00 EDT
We will be talking about things that can go wrong or will go wrong when doing NMR. Not all topics discussed will be dead serious. For example how do spectra look when your probes not tuned or then the pulse is not calibrated. Did you ever forget to lock the sample or pick the wrong solvent? Or have you ever received an error message and not known what to do? We will present a variety of NMR disasters and how to avoid and recover from them.
Speaker: Amy Freund
Date/Time: November 08, 2021, 15:00 – 16:00 EDT
This webinar will focus on the analysis of mixtures such as urine, milk, fuel and even reaction mixtures. These mixtures are difficult to study because of overlap and the shear number of components. Becuase of these issues, it is sometimes easier to treat the NMR spectrum as a fingerprint, or to use tools more befitting large data projects than simple NMR spectral analysis. Join us to learn more.
Speaker: Jochem Struppe/Shane Pawsey
Date/Time: December 13, 2021, 15:00 – 16:00 EDT
The course will follow up on the previous Tips and Tricks session from 8/17/2020 and the session Tips and Tricks 2, and 3 from 2/22/2021, and 8/9/2021, respectively. We will discuss homonuclear correlation experiments using zero quantum and double quantum experiments at MAS rates between 5 and 111kHz.
