Native environment

Unique cell traps
We use unique cell traps to physically retain the cells on the chip surface. There is no need for any modifications or specific receptors on the cells’ surface.

The heliXcyto chip

heliXcyto chips feature flow-permeable, bio-compatible polymer cages, which physically retain any type of cells.

Automatic exchange of 5 chips is possible and chips are equipped with RFID tags for seamless traceability.

The sample temperature during measurement can be adjusted between 15°C and 40°C.

Cells are trapped automatically from a stock solution within seconds

Chip types and sizes

heliXcyto chips enable single- and multi-cell measurements. Trap sizes are tailored to capture single cells and chip options support cell sizes between approx. 6 – 25 µm.

The heliX® biosensor utilizes single-cell Interaction Cytometry technology to measure kinetics in real time directly on cells: 

  • association kinetics (kon)
  • dissociation kinetics / half-life (koff, t1/2)
  • affinities and avidities (Kd)
