Opterra II features specialized input optics ensure a highly uniform field of view that, combined with a sensitive CCD camera for detection, produce quantitative data in all dimensions while ensuring cell viability. The system is also designed to flexibly adjust speed, resolution, or intensity as needed, without hardware changes— aperture selection is completely controlled by software.

Opterra II addresses the “iron triangle” of imaging—the conjoined facets of speed, intensity, and spatial resolution. In most confocal live-cell imaging systems, such as spinning disk, the imaging facets are fixed and cannot be adjusted to meet specific experimental needs. To improve performance in one requires that some degree of performance in one or more of the others be sacrificed. Bruker’s Opterra II system gives you the ability to easily adjust speed, resolution, and intensity, as needed, to accommodate specific experimental requirements, without hardware changes.
