In response to mounting concerns over exposure to toxic chemicals, voters in the state of California approved Prop 65 (aka, the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986).  Prop 65 includes a list of toxic chemicals that are regulated in order to protect the water supply as well as people against exposure to these chemicals.  The law states that a business that knowingly and intentionally exposes a person to a chemical on this list must issue a clear and reasonable warning prior to exposing that person.  The entity in charge of regulating this law is the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA).
