In recent years, increasing antimicrobial resistance rates in pneumococci and Haemophilus influenzae have been observed. This had an impact on treatment of both hospital and community acquired infections. Therefore, accurate and reliable MIC determination is crucial for successful antimicrobial therapy.

 

The routine MIC plate MICRONAUT-S Pneumococcus & Haemophilus MIC provides a wide range of antibiotics commonly used for the treatment of infections caused by pneumococci and Haemophilus influenzae. It enables phenotypic quantification of MIC values for 14 antibiotics in a single test run. Obtained MIC values can be interpreted according to currently valid EUCAST or CLSI standards.
