布鲁克的USR 磁体利用最新的脉冲管低温冷却器技术提升低温效率,同时将意外振动向磁体系统的转移降至最低。这对于达到最佳的非人造性能十分必要,不会产生与其他主动制冷方法有关的相关振动问题。 这之所以成为可能,是因为脉冲管低温技术冷却器远优于之前没有采用移动活塞的技术,因而能够安静的运行,并且制冷组件不会造成机械磨损。
USR 磁体系统还将在临床MRI 磁体中知名的传统热屏蔽冷却与具有专利权的气态氦再冷凝技术结合在了一起。这种结合促成了出色的冷却效率。
USR 磁体系统外形十分紧凑,并且由于具有先进的线圈设计和取消了氮容器,其体形远小于具有相同磁场强度和孔尺寸的传统磁体。再加之先进的主动屏蔽技术使杂散场变得极小,USR 磁体更能轻易地适合更小的空间,同时对附近其他仪器的影响也大大减小。当然,USR 磁体也十分易于运输和放置,并且其安装时所受到的损坏也远小于传统设计系统。
USR 磁体系统功能强大,其设计可适用于运输中保持冷藏,这将给安装或试运行系统时带来时间和费用方面巨大的节省。
USR 磁体被设计和构造可以全效率运行,而不需要液氮容器,从而完全消除了对常规系统所需的常规液氮填充的需要。此外,系统突出的热效率导致氦的消耗极低,不需要用户的干预或维护。该系统在制冷装置的服务计划中有一个超过12个月的免维护期。
