Potency Determination by qNMR

Fabrice and Anna will introduce you to Bruker’s newly launched PotencyMR, a solution specially designed to facilitate potency/purity determination. All along the webinar key benefits of PotencyMR, such as ease of use and review, that make the solution accessible to non-NMR experts, will be highlighted, demonstrating that the deployment of qNMR to an open access environment is now a reality.

During this webinar, Fabrice and Anna will introduce you to Bruker’s newly launched PotencyMR, a solution specially designed to facilitate potency/purity determination. You will also have an update on the existing tools for absolute concentration determination using an external reference. A full automatic workflow from sample submission to report will be shown which includes the measurement of replicate samples. You will see how challenging samples (formulated material) are also analyzed, in manual mode, and how this manual analysis can be stored for further reuse.

They will describe the NMR hardware that is best suited for Bruker’s qNMR and show how that complements LC methods in a very cost effective way. Example data and practical cases at 300 and 500 MHz will be shown.

What You Will Discover

This webinar will explain how Bruker’s new PotencyMR solution streamlines potency/purity determination.

Key topics include:

  • Introduction to internal and external standard qNMR methods
  • Hardware description (300 and 400 MHz NMR)
  • Demonstration of full automatic workflows for potency and absolute concentration determination
  • How to measure replicate samples in automation
  • Analysis of challenging samples in manual mode

Who Should Attend?

Analytical chemists and laboratory managers, chromatographers, pharmaceutical sciences and pharmaceutical development leaders, laboratory technicians and NMR spectroscopists from pharmaceutical, fine chemistry, petro chemistry, forensics and food industries. The webinar is especially relevant for those working in development and quality control environments.

Speakers

Dr. Fabrice Moriaud

Product Manager - Bruker Solutions for Fragment Based Drug Discovery - Fällanden, Switzerland

Fabrice Moriaud, Ph.D. is a product manager at Bruker for Fragment Based Screening. He has extensive experience in leading the development of software for the Pharma industry. He is a chemist by training and has an academic background in EPR and NMR.

Dr. Anna Codina

Director Pharmaceutical Business Unit, Bruker BioSpin

Anna has a degree in Chemistry and a PhD in Protein NMR from the University of Barcelona, Spain. She undertook her post-doc in protein NMR at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge, UK, and following that worked in the Analytical R&D department of Pfizer for eight years, becoming proficient in low level impurity structure elucidation, reaction monitoring, qNMR and the preparation of regulatory documentation.

She received a Pfizer Worldwide Achievement Award for the implementation of reaction monitoring by NMR in an open access environment.

She joined Bruker in 2011 as Material Characterisation Laboratory Manager and she is now the Director of the Pharmaceutical Business Unit at Bruker BioSpin.
