How does JumpShot® work?
JumpShot® uses a pulsed gas flow for ionization, rather than the continuous gas flow associated with conventional DART. Cutting gas flow eliminates the formation of ions in the surrounding air, efficiently targeting each sample with 1 – 2 seconds of ionization. The result is:

  • Higher sample throughput - by a factor of three
  • Lower gas consumption - around 90% lower, minimizing per sample costs and environmental footprint
  • Improved peak shape - sharper, resolved peaks that are more amenable to routine data processing
  • A significant reduction in matrix effects related to the ambient atmosphere - less background noise and a high signal to noise ratio


Use JumpShot® with a QuickStrip® wire mesh grid to measure samples in sets of 12 at a rate of 3 seconds per samples. Or step up to a mutliple rail automation module to load 96 or 384 samples at a time.
