Webinar Summary

In this webinar, Curtis Marcott, (Light Light Solutions) and Dean Dawson (Bruker), share vital insights into nanoscale identification of materials and their chemical/optical properties using the latest advances in nanoscale IR spectroscopy.

Following an overview of nanoIR history and capabilities, our speakers introduce a range of new innovations and applications enabled by Bruker's Anasys nanoIR3 platform. The nanoIR3 has a fully purged system, incorporates a new laser, enables 2nd-generation Tapping AFM-IR, integrates new optics, and was designed to have low noise and high stability.

This webinar covers the following topics:

  • Key areas of improved performance and flexibility in the new nanoIR3 platform
  • Examples showing the power of 2nd-generation tapping AFM-IR
  • Groundbreaking research behind recent nanoIR publications in life science, materials science, atmospheric aerosols, and polarized AFM-IR

In the Q&A session, viewers can expect to hear the answers to:

  • Do Bruker AFM-IR instruments allow for measurements in fluids?
  • Would nanoparticles of about 10 nm height be detectable and able to be analyzed in the nanoIR system?
  • Is nanoIR resolution limited by the laser spot size?
  • Can the nanoIR3-s perform AFM-IR and s-SNOM simultaneously?
  • Can a new laser be retrofitted onto a previous-generation product?

Note that some Q&A responses in our older webinars may not reflect current offerings. Check out our latest capabilities at Nanoscale Infrared Spectrometers | Bruker.
