Introduction and Overview

In this era of information technology, NMR Automation utilizing sample changers or flow-injection systems has become a most valued tool for both industry and academia, as well over 1000 BRUKER NMR spectrometers operate in at least one of several automation modes. According to the laboratory's needs or goals, automation may involve high-throughput screening, overnight automation or multi-user open access, for example.


For Bruker, automation begins with the submission of a request to measure a sample, continues with sample preparation, transfer to the spectrometer, automatic probe tuning, data acquistion and processing, and finishes with data distribution and archiving.
