Based on the state-of-the-art MALDI Biotyper® sirius platform, the compact new MALDI Biotyper® sirius one System offers high throughput and fast time-to-result. Its sleek design combines the popular features of the MALDI Biotyper® smart with advanced electronics to boost system performance.



Benchtop solution

The MALDI Biotyper® sirius one System provides a convenient benchtop solution for ease of installation and maintenance in a modern laboratory. At just 75kg, it offers a small system footprint and is the lightest product in the range. 

One polarity

The MALDI Biotyper® sirius one System offers a one polarity solution (positive ion mode MALDI-TOF) suitable for all routine workflows in microorganism identification.

Bespoke laser technology

Laser speed and lifetime are delivered by the MALDI Biotyper® sirius one System, which houses the smartbeam™ lifetime* laser with a 200 Hz repetition rate. Bruker is unique in developing its own bespoke laser technology that is optimized for ultimate performance in the MALDI Biotyper® product range.

* Lifetime is defined as seven years or 500 million shots, whichever comes first.

Software compatibility

The MALDI Biotyper® sirius one RUO System and MALDI Biotyper® sirius one GP System are compatible with existing MALDI Biotyper® software, including MBT Compass products, libraries and workflows.



Low maintenance

The instrument offers integrated ion source cleaning with simple push button control and no need to release the vacuum. This functionality considerably reduces maintenance downtime, to minimize workflow disruption in the lab.

Faster time-to-result

The high capacity vacuum pump and advanced electronics have greatly improved the target exchange time, compared to the MALDI Biotyper® smart. The faster time-to-result of the MALDI Biotyper® sirius one is directly related to the new sirius electronics, allowing faster x/y-stage movements.

State-of-the-art technology

The advanced electronics systems in the MALDI Biotyper® sirius one System deliver a lighter and more compact product, with improved environmental credentials and a reduced risk of system obsolescence.

Sleek new design

The attractive new housing of the MALDI Biotyper® sirius one System supports system disinfection. Its highly visible LED strip allows remote observation of system status.
