Log4j critical issue

The discovery of vulnerability of the Log4J library (CVE-2021-44228) prompted our software teams to investigate the problem and its impact on our software and also on our customers. Our investigation shows, that the ParaVision software does not use the log4j library, but Topspin 4 versions needed for ParaVision 360 operation of MR systems use the affected versions of the log4j library. However, we do not believe at this time that the Log4J gap can affect the safety of the MR spectrometer (or processing workstation) in any way. Logging is done entirely internally without involving user input, so we do not currently see any way in which the issue could be exploited.

The latest version of Bruker Log4j patch is available here. The evaluation of the Log4j issue continues. We recommend to regularly check this page for updates.

Consistent Quantification
Highest accuracy in all research stages, from set-up to quantification, from day to day, and from subject to subject leads to the most consistent, reliable data
Greatest Imaging Power
Extensive and innovative range of methods combined with sophisticated viewing, reconstruction, and analysis tools provide the most information from imaging subjects
Seamless Multimodal Imaging
Uniformity across MRI, PET, and µCT for intuitive use

Focusing on consistent quantification, ParaVision 360 makes scanning even more intuitive, while maintaining the full flexibility that Bruker users praise. The enlarged MRI sequence portfolio, which is exclusive to Bruker, and the powerful image data evaluation functions lead to maximum proficiency in scanning and analysis, while the simplicity and uniformity across the range of instrumentation allows operators to put their focus on their research.
