Funktionsweise der Röntgenfluoreszenzanalyse:

RFA ist die Abkürzung für Röntgenfluoreszenzanalyse.

Ein Prozess, bei dem durch Röntgenstrahlung Elektronen aus ihren atomaren Bahnpositionen verdrängt werden. Dabei wird Energie freigesetzt, die für ein bestimmtes Element charakteristisch ist.

Diese unterschiedlichen Energien werden dann vom Detektor im Röntgenfluoreszenzanalyse-Gerät (RFA-Gerät bzw. RFA-Spektrometer)(RFA-Instrument erfasst und den Elementen zugeordnet.
