PepSep C18 nano flow columns pair well with most UHPLCs and are ideal for the separation of peptides using polar aqueous mobile phases. The PepSep column portfolio is an indispensable tool for the classical separation approach in proteomics and enables the analysis of samples with high sensitivity. Our shorter columns, 5 cm, 10 cm, and 15 cm, enable faster separations, yielding incredible ID-based results up to three times faster than columns used in standard proteomics workflows. Our longer twenty-five cm columns were designed for optimal performance >50 ng (Twenty-five) and <50 ng targeting single cell applications (Twenty-five UHS).
PepSep columns are created with industry leading materials and connections to accommodate all your chromatographic separation needs. Our column portfolio offers a range of columns covering most proteomic applications. Columns are available either as a “raw” column or with connections for easy and reliable connection to the HPLC system and the emitter.
For safe and easy connections to the high-pressure end of the column we have a 10-32 thread female union that connects to most LC systems. The UHP connection is tested for use up to 1000 bar. At the low pressure end we have a nanoConnect connection that ensures a zero dead volume connection.
All columns are packed in Polyimide coated Fused Silica and the entrance/exit points are finely polished and individually inspected. A short frit (250-350 µm) is precisely positioned to minimize post-column eluent mixing.
PepSep products deliver twenty years research and development experience, quality materials, and state of the art components to improve LC-MS applications.
PepSep has developed a collection of reverse-phase C18 columns covering most proteomic applications. Columns are assembled with our patented simple and reliable nanoConnect and UHP inlet connections, which facilitate a smooth and quick connection to your HPLC and mass spectrometer.
Our columns are packed in a polyimide coated fused silica with an outer diameter (OD) at 360 µm. The columns entrance and exit are finely polished and individually inspected under a microscope to ensure smooth blunt ended connections between the transfer line, column, and spray emitter. To minimize post-column eluent mixing, a 250-350 µm frit is placed.
Separation columns are packed with-best in-class ReproSil C18 1.5 µm, 1.9 µm or 3 µm beads with pore diameters of 100-120Å.
Columns are manufactured in various lengths (L) and inner diameters (ID) for distinct applications, flow rates and HPLC systems. Longer columns often result in better resolution/ higher sensitivity, but this depends on flow rate and column ID. Wider ID columns are a good choice to reduce backpressure, which can accelerate HPLC valve wear, overpressure HPLC systems and potentially cause column damage.
For smooth, safe, and easy connections to the high-pressure end of the column (often via transfer line) we have installed our patented UHP connection. The UHP connection is tested to be used up to 1000 bar.
On the columns low pressure end, we have equipped our patented nanoConnect connector, ensuring a zero dead volume connection. By design, the nanoConnect system makes union and emitter connections quick, reliable, and straightforward.
If you have a special column request, please feel free to reach out to us with information of the column dimensions and connections you need, and we will send you a quote.
Trap columns are packed with ReproSil 3 µm or 5 µm C18 beads, pore diameter 120Å. They come with a column length (CL) of 2 cm. Total length (L) of the capillary is 6 cm. The inner diameters (ID) are 100 or 150 µm.
All PepSep emitters have an outer diameter (OD) of 150 µm and come as either stainless steel or fused silica. The steel emitter has an ID of 30 µm. The fused silica emitters are available in either 10 µm or 20 µm IDs.
PepSep emitters are available in three versions. The first form comes with an integrated liquid junction which is to be used with the PepSep sprayer. The second form comes with a 1/32" PEEK sleeve, which is to be used in custom made setups and comes in three lengths 3, 4 and 5 cm. The third form is a pre-mounted fused silica emitter specifically designed for the captive spray source.
All emitter types are polished with fine diamond films to give a perfect tapered tip.
