Below is the official guideline on Emergency Closings from the Bruker Corporate Employee Handbook
1.15 Emergency Closings:


In the event that emergencies such as severe weather, fires, power failures, or earthquakes disrupt our normal business operations, Bruker may close a work facility. To the extent Bruker remains open for business, you are expected to make a reasonable effort to report to work. If you are unable to do so, you will not be paid for the time off, but may request to use available paid time off, such as vacation. You must notify your supervisor before the start of the work day to confirm your absence and record your absence via appropriate channels for payroll processing upon your return. When the decision to close is made BEFORE or AFTER the workday has begun, your supervisor will officially notify you. In these situations, time off from scheduled work will be paid.
