In general, analysis with XRF spectrometry is nondestructive, not altering the sample in any way. The only technical exception to this nondestructive property is that certain samples need to be prepared for analysis. Whether or not samples need to be prepared (grain size reduced, homogenized, etc.) depends on the analyst’s data quality objectives, as well as the sample’s initial chemical and physical makeup.

BRUKER S1 TITAN XRF Spectrometers

The Bruker S1 TITAN line of spectrometers is the ideal instrument for industrial applications from screening to high-precision elemental analysis. The Bruker S1 TITAN spectrometers are rugged, shock resistant, weather resistant, and easy to use. The following configurations provide specific advantages to meet industrial and analytical needs.

S1 TITAN 200:
Your rugged & entry-level workhorse; perfect for scrap metal sorting, precious metals analysis and other alloy-related applications. Equipped with a Si-PIN detector and fixed filter, the Model 200 analyzes 31 elements simultaneously, analyzes samples up to 500°C, available with 5mm small spot analysis area, and a rugged detector shield to protect your detector in field conditions from sharp or protruding objects so you can fearlessly place the instrument directly in a barrel of metal turnings!

S1 TITAN 300:
Goes beyond the capabilities of the 200 model with a 33 element simultaneous analysis range and an optional integrated camera for perfect sample positioning and image saved with analysis results. The model 300, equipped with a Si-PIN detector and 5 position automatic filter changer, is well suited for heavy element alloy analysis, regulated metals, regulated plastics, plus geo and soil applications.

S1 TITAN 600:
Analyzes 37 elements, including light elements magnesium (Mg), aluminum (Al), and silicon (Si), as well as all of the benefits of the 300 configuration. Model 600 is configured with a FAST SDDTM detector and SMART GradeTM timing.

S1 TITAN 800:
All the same advantages that are offered by the 600 configuration, with the additional benefit of a choice of small spot sizes (3mm, 5mm or 8mm), and an included integrated camera. The 800 is perfect for analysis of samples such as specific components on populated PCBs, small features on precious metal jewelry, etc. In addition, model 800 can operate down to 6kV, which allows better  detection of light elements.
